Lourmarin, Luberon

A hotel and restaurant in Lourmarin, between Italy, Asia and Provence

O Mamma Mia is a small character hotel in Lourmarin, in the Luberon, at 21 route d'Apt.

The river Aigues Brun runs along the estate. It sets the edge of the park, its coolness and its background sound. Century-old trees hold the shade from morning to evening, and a natural bathing pond opens at the end of the paths. The terrace sits under the same trees.

The village is listed among the Most Beautiful Villages of France. Its castle, Albert Camus' grave and the Friday morning market are all within walking distance. You park the car, parking is free, and you can leave it there all day.

Hotel, restaurant and bar share the same grounds. The place is described at length on the hotel page.

Restaurant & bar

Italian and Asian cooking, at lunch and at dinner

The restaurant is open every day. Lunch from 12:00 to 14:00, dinner from 19:00 to 23:00. It closes on 24 and 25 December. Eat in or takeaway.

The menu holds two kitchens together: Italian and Thai. Pasta and southern flavours on one side, wok and Asian aromatics on the other, sharing boards to begin with. The bar makes its own cocktails, and the cellar brings together the Luberon, Burgundy and a few bottles from further afield.

Dinner is served under the trees whenever the weather allows. If you are wondering where to eat in Lourmarin without taking the car out again, this restaurant welcomes hotel guests and passing visitors alike.

The dining room and the bar are introduced on the restaurant page, the dishes and prices on the menu.

The Luberon

The Luberon, straight from our door

A weekend in the Luberon plays out over a few kilometres. Bonnieux, Ménerbes, Roussillon and Gordes on one side of the range, Cucuron and Ansouis on the other. The villages are best seen in the morning, before the heat.

In Lourmarin itself, the castle is open to visitors and Albert Camus' grave lies in the village cemetery. On Friday mornings the market fills the streets until early afternoon.

We rent electric bikes, on request: €25 for half a day, €39 for a full day. The roads across the range feel different with a motor behind you.

Our guides are gathered on the Luberon pages, starting with things to do in Lourmarin and the most beautiful villages of the Luberon.
