Article 1

Scope and acceptance

These terms govern bookings of rooms, of tables in the restaurant and of related services with O MAMMA LOURMARIN, the company operating the O Mamma Mia - Lourmarin hotel and restaurant, 21 route d'Apt, 84160 Lourmarin, France.

The company's full identity, registration details and contact information are set out on the Legal notice page, which forms an integral part of these terms.

Making a booking, through whichever channel, means accepting these terms in full. They are made available to you before the contract is concluded and you may save or print them at any time. The version that applies to your booking is the one online on the day you confirm it: a later change does not apply to bookings already made.

Where you book through an outside platform — an online travel agency, a travel website, a works council — that platform's own terms apply in addition to these and take precedence over them as regards payment and cancellation.

Version in force as at 4 August 2026.

Article 2

Booking a room

The hotel has eight rooms, from 16 to 39 m². You can book in three ways: online through our booking engine at reservation.omammamia.fr, by telephone on +33 4 84 85 90 00 or +33 7 62 63 19 76, or by email to reservation@omammamia.fr.

A booking request is not yet a booking. The contract is formed only when we send you a written confirmation by email, setting out the dates, the room, the number of guests, the total price and the cancellation terms that apply. It is that confirmation which is binding between us, not the description shown on this site or on an outside platform.

Each room is let for a set number of guests, stated on the room's page and repeated in the confirmation. An undeclared additional guest may be turned away on arrival, or charged at the current rate. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult throughout the stay.

We reserve the right to decline a booking from a guest whose conduct during a previous stay required us to intervene, or where the request is plainly for a use other than tourist accommodation.

Article 3

Prices, breakfast and tourist tax

Prices are in euros, inclusive of tax, per room and per night. On the pages of this site they are « from » rates and vary with the season, the length of stay and occupancy: from €75 to €155 a night depending on the room. Only the price shown on the booking confirmation is firm.

Value added tax is applied at the rate in force: 10% on accommodation and on food consumed on the premises, 20% on alcoholic drinks. A change in the statutory rate is passed on to services not yet supplied.

Breakfast is not included in the price of the night: it is charged at €15 per person, unless the offer booked states otherwise. Services taken during the stay — restaurant, bar, bicycle hire, laundry — are settled on departure, in addition.

The tourist tax is added to the total and is never included in the prices displayed. Collected on behalf of the Sud Luberon district, it amounts for an unclassified hotel to 5% of the net cost of the night per person, capped at €4.00 per person per night, plus the 10% departmental surcharge. Guests under 18 are exempt.

Article 4

Payment and guarantee

A booking may be subject to giving a bank card number as a guarantee, or to paying a sum in advance. The amount and the due date are stated before you validate the booking and repeated on the confirmation.

Under article L.214-1 of the French consumer code, sums paid in advance are a deposit in the nature of « arrhes » unless the confirmation expressly states otherwise. You may therefore give up the stay by forfeiting the sum paid; were we to withdraw, we would return twice that amount to you.

The balance of the stay and everything consumed on site are settled on departure, at reception. The payment methods accepted are shown to you as you book online, then repeated on your confirmation.

Card details entered on the booking engine are handled by our technical provider and its payment institution. The hotel keeps no full card number beyond the guarantee described above, and will never ask you to send one by email or by message.

Article 5

Changing, cancelling, not turning up

The terms for changing or cancelling depend on the rate you choose. They are shown to you before the booking is validated and then repeated on the written confirmation: that document determines the notice period and any amount retained.

The notice period for cancelling free of charge, any amount retained and the treatment of non-refundable rates are shown on the booking engine, before the booking is validated, then repeated on your confirmation.

Any request to change or cancel must reach us in writing, at reservation@omammamia.fr, or through the link on your confirmation. A cancellation made by telephone alone takes effect only once we have acknowledged it in writing.

If you do not turn up, or arrive after the first night without having told us, the booking is cancelled automatically and the whole stay may be retained. Leaving early gives no right to a refund of nights booked and not used.

We may have to cancel or move a booking, in particular after damage to the property or an unforeseen loss of the room. Should that happen, we will offer you accommodation of an equivalent or higher category in Lourmarin or nearby, bearing any difference in price ourselves, or a full refund of the sums paid if no solution suits you. No further compensation is due.

Article 6

No right of withdrawal

A booking of accommodation, catering or a leisure activity for a specific date or period carries no right of withdrawal, even when made at a distance.

That exclusion follows from article L.221-28, 12° of the French consumer code. The fourteen-day period that applies to most online purchases therefore does not apply here: from confirmation onwards, only the cancellation terms in article 5 apply. This information is given to you before the contract is concluded, as required by article L.221-5 of the same code.

Article 7

Arrival and departure

Rooms are available from 15:00 on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 11:00 on the day of departure. Reception is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, so a late arrival is no difficulty — but please let us know if you expect to arrive after 22:00 so that we can welcome you properly.

A late check-out may be granted subject to availability on the day; ask at reception the evening before. Beyond the agreed time, an extra night may be charged.

Valid photographic identification is requested on arrival for every adult guest. Guests of foreign nationality also complete the individual police form required by article R.611-42 of the French code on the entry and residence of foreign nationals.

Article 8

During your stay

The property is entirely non-smoking, including rooms, corridors and indoor areas, under article L.3512-8 of the French public health code. Smoking or vaping in a room means the cost of putting it right will be charged to you. Terraces and the garden remain open to smokers.

The natural bathing pond is unsupervised. Swimming there is at your own risk, during the hours displayed on site, and children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. The notice displayed at the water's edge supplements these terms.

We ask you to keep noise down between 22:00 and 08:00, the property standing in a residential setting on the banks of the Aigues Brun. Any damage, missing equipment or soiling beyond normal use is charged on production of evidence, at the cost of replacement or of putting it right.

Pets are welcome, both in the rooms and in the restaurant. Please tell us about them when you book. They remain under your supervision and your responsibility throughout the stay, including in the common areas, and we ask you not to leave them alone in the room. Any damage or additional cleaning they cause is charged on the terms set out in the previous paragraph.

Article 9

Your belongings and our liability

Our liability as a hotelkeeper for the belongings you bring with you is governed by articles 1952 to 1954 of the French civil code. It is unlimited for items handed to us for safekeeping at reception, and limited to one hundred times the price of the night for items you keep in your room or leave on the premises.

That limit does not apply where the loss is attributable to us, or where we refused without legitimate reason to take custody of an item we were required to accept. We invite you to leave documents, jewellery and valuables with us rather than in your room.

Vehicles parked on the property, and their contents, remain in the keeping of their owner: the car park is a space made available free of charge, not a guarded facility.

Article 10

Booking a table in the restaurant

Booking a table is free and is done through the online module on the Restaurant page, by telephone or in person. The restaurant serves lunch from 12:00 to 14:00 and dinner from 19:00 to 23:00, seven days a week.

A request sent through the online module is not yet a booking: you first receive an email acknowledging it, then a second email confirming the slot or not. Only that second message constitutes a booking. No card details are asked for.

A table is held for you for fifteen minutes past the agreed time. After that, and when the restaurant is busy, it may be given to someone else. Please tell us as soon as you can if you cannot come or if the number of guests changes.

For groups, private hire, meetings and weddings, a quotation and specific terms — deposit, guaranteed numbers, notice period — are drawn up case by case and take precedence over this article. See the Meetings and Weddings & events pages.

Article 11

Force majeure

Neither party can be held liable for a failure caused by an event of force majeure within the meaning of article 1218 of the French civil code: an event beyond its control, which could not reasonably have been foreseen when the contract was concluded and whose effects cannot be avoided by appropriate measures. Where such an event prevents the stay from taking place, the sums paid are returned to you, to the exclusion of any other compensation.

Article 12

Complaints and mediation

Any complaint must be sent to us in writing, to reservation@omammamia.fr or by post to 21 route d'Apt, 84160 Lourmarin, France, as soon as possible after the stay. We undertake to reply.

Failing an amicable settlement, and under articles L.612-1 and following of the French consumer code, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge, provided you have first sent the written complaint above and refer the matter to the mediator within one year of it. The name and contact details of the mediator appointed by the business appear on the Legal notice page.

The European online dispute resolution platform ceased operating on 20 July 2025, following the repeal of Regulation (EU) No 524/2013 by Regulation (EU) 2024/3228. Referral to the mediator named above replaces it.

Article 13

Personal data, governing law and language

Data collected when you book is processed in order to perform the contract and to meet our legal obligations. Full details of the purposes, retention periods, recipients and of your rights are set out on the Privacy policy page.

Should any provision of these terms be held void or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.

These terms are governed by French law. Should a dispute arise, and once amicable settlement or mediation has failed, the French courts have jurisdiction; consumers keep the right to bring proceedings before the court of their place of residence or of the place where the service was provided. This English text is a translation provided for information only: in the event of any discrepancy, the French version available at omammamia.fr/cgv/ prevails.
